The Poetry of Pain

Posted April 6th, 2008 in Asides and tagged by HN

It is true. Pain brings out the poet in everyone. Poignancy is an emotion of being bereft, not of abundance. The best heartfelt lines speak of loves lost and sacrifices that worshiped an ingrate.

Poetry is the only pleasure associated with pain. After yrs.when the pain and the cause of pain cease to matter anymore ,in retrospect ,only poetry written in those moments seems to make any sense, whatsoever.
